The Story of Adam

He Said...In the book of Genesis we read of the creation of the world culminating in the creation of man. We read that God places man in charge of the world; it is his dominion. God the Father and creator establishes the beauty of the oceans, the mountains, the forests, meadows and valleys, rivers and streams, the sky and stars all for his child, all for mankind; and he places him in dominion over the world. Surely Adam realized the love of the Father. How could he not? He gave him so much.

God called Adam to exercise his dominion over the land and over creation. He called Adam to rule and to pass on to his children the gift that was given to him by God. He was called to live in the love that God the Father had given to him and to pass that love onto his sons.

We all know the rest of his story. Adam did not pass the love of God the Father onto his sons; instead his inheritance was one of sorrow, pain, toil and labor. And the enemy was happily the instigator that provoked the fall of Adam. This story continues today in the lives of every person. The desire of God is for His love to be delivered and given to each of us through our earthly fathers, but the enemy has attacked and continues to attack the men of this world.

The consequences of the attacks on men affect women too, and through this blog we hope to help men and women reclaim their authentic roles in relation to one another. Perhaps we may begin by blogging about the current ways the enemy so cunningly assaults men's hearts, minds and souls...
